Sticking to my clean eating this January, when I wanted something sweet I knew raw dessert was the way to go! Inspired by FullyRawKristina ,I attempted the raw carrot cakes.
I couldn’t believe something so simple could taste SO good!!
Happy new year! A new year always brings in new resolutions while I respect everyone who has one, I try to just be healthy every day of the year regardless of the date. 2014 has been a great year of many highs, one where I married my best friend, worked on my blog and traveled to places I never thought I would!
The summer months are here in Dubai and it is getting very stuffy,nothing better than a cold green smoothie to start your day during these hot months 🙂
On a more positive note I have been enjoying my vegan month so much that I think it just MIGHT change the way I eat for a long time! The benefits I feel are endless, but most of all I love the feeling that I am doing something good for my body and the planet.
Sometimes you just need a little bit of ice cream in your life 🙂
With 2 weeks to go to before my wedding I am sticking to my clean eating! So this was the perfect little treat, I also am so happy I finally got to use my matcha green powder which my brother had gotten me all the way from Japan! This can still be easily found in the supermarket, just head to the asian/Japanese corner.
Did you know one glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea in terms of its nutritional value and antioxidant content? Loves it!
On the weekend I usually like to spend more time cooking my lunch and then for the week ahead I will cook a big batch of soup plus a main dish. My all time favorite Vietnamese dish has got to be the rice paper rolls, just so crunchy and could be made with whatever filling you prefer. Irresistible!
So, I set out to make a protein filled, crunchy and above all as easy as possible Vietnamese roll.
I am so amused by the so many things we can do with dates, they can be used to sweeten up any recipe if used the right way. We are also very lucky to have an abundance of dates here in the UAE. These little ones are so easy to make and look so pretty!
