Lentils &Rice (Mdardara)

Whenever my mom is in town I use it as opportunity to learn a new vegan lebanese dish. This time she recommended Mdardara saying it does not get easier than this, and it really doesn’t! Don’t confuse this with the Mjadara which also consists of lentils but is mashed up and uses a different type or lentils. I will leave that recipe for a different post 🙂

Couscous Stuffed Eggplant

I was so in love with this casserole dish that I carried it all the way back from the UK to Dubai, yes it was SO heavy but SO worth it. Just look at how pretty it is 🙂 My kitchen has a lot of orange tidbits so this fits in perfectly!

Spicy Potato (Batata Harra)

I had a small dinner party last week and decided to give Batata harra a try. It was quite difficult to get the recipe quite right without using so much oil but in the end turned out quite good!

Hazelnut Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter Frosting

I just recently came back from Beirut. I did not know how easy it was to be vegan in Lebanon, the fruit and vegetables are just so fresh, available everywhere and cheap! Check out some of my recent photos from there by following me on insta @rana.banana A few inspired Lebanese vegan dishes are defo coming up!!

Meanwhile -This is the fudgiest (is that a word?) cake I have EVER made! I made this for my friend at work, she is on a Paleo lifestyle and me on Vegan so I had to come up with a cake that suited us both 😉 #Paleo&VeganUnite
