After a gym session I usually don’t want to spend loads of time preparing dinner, I want something in under 20 mins to get in ma belly!
If you have some left over quinoa (or rice) from another meal in your fridge, then this is a super healthy dinner you could put together in under 20 minutes!
Craving chocolate for breakfast? This is the perfect way to satisfy your chocolate cravings without the guilt!
I have been away on holidays for the last 3 weeks around Europe and even though you walk around a lot, finding healthy vegan food is not always easy, so its really good to be home and back on track!
After all the Eid feasts, I feel salads are much needed to detox. I was away in Beirut for Eid and the food was amazing, not counting all the sweets and all the nights spent dancing and drinking!
Now back to work and Dubai, it is time to get back into the kitchen to create healthier feasts! I’ve always liked a cooked grain or vegetable with my salad, so this and my lentil salad are my two faves 🙂
Anyone who does not have dairy in their diet knows alternative milk can get pricey, especially if you want it to be naturally sweetened and organic. There has been a couple of recipe disasters before this but I have to say I found this to be the the easiest, creamiest and AND much cheaper than a store bought version, so definitely a win!
Also can you ever have enough coconut in your diet? or body? or face! Never.

Don’t confuse this with the Mjadara which also consists of lentils but is mashed up and uses a different type or lentils. I will leave that recipe for a different post 🙂
I recently have been a major oatmeal ADDICT. I love this recipe so much I sometimes have it for breakfast and dinner 🙂 It is just so creamy, filling and of course easy to make! Also I will be heading to Armenia this weekend to celebrate my wedding anniversary, super excited! Stay tuned for vegan armenian treats on my instagram @rana.banana Continue reading
I wanted to share with you my favorite beauty must haves, when I started this lifestyle I knew I wanted it to extend to more than just the food on my table, embracing natural beauty goes beyond the food you eat, it also is the products you use on your skin.
Nowadays it should be relatively easy not to rely on the chemical filled big brand names to stock your beauty bag with, oh and it also helps that they don’t break the bank 🙂 !
Starting with my all time favorite…
1 – Coconut Oil
Hair Conditioner, make up remover, body moisturizer are just some of the ways I use this! Not even mentioning the tub I have in my kitchen (Of course I have a separate one for each!)
If you have read some of my previous blog posts you will need know that I love one pot dishes, meaning all the ingredients go into one pot and that is all you need!
This is one of those dishes, with Quinoa in my website name, I thought I need to give some more quinoa dishes a go 🙂
There’s a common misconception that kibbeh is all about the meat but the truth is far from it! There are more vegan options of Kibbeh than meat, though the meat is the most popular. Some of the vegan options are lentil kibbeh, potato kibbeh and a favorite that happens to be this recipe, pumpkin kibbeh! Continue reading
