Homemade Peanut Butter

If I had known how easy it is it to make peanut butter, I would have started making this long ago!! Me and my husband had run out of our favorite PB brand at the market so I decided to surprise him with my own homemade version 🙂 photo 2 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of peanuts – organic if possible
  • 1 tsp of sea salt

photo 1 Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Place the peanuts on baking pan and roast for 10-15 mins until they are golden. If your peanuts are already roasted, skip this step
  2. Let them cool for 5 minutes
  3. Place peanuts in the food processor along with the salt and blend for about 10 mins (could take longer depending on how fresh the peanuts are) until they reach a smooth consistency.Scrape down the sides every couple of mins also. Patience is  key here 😉

I cannot wait to make my next nut butter – cashews maybe? What would you like to see me do? Sahtein!
