10 Fruits & Veggies You Need (and not need) To Be Buying Organic

With the latest organic craze it is easy to get lost with what you need to know and what exactly you need to be buying organic. Personally before coming up with this list, I was a little lost but after knowing this you essentially can start to guess the others that could be “clean” or ” dirty”

I summed up a list of top 10 things you need to be buying organic and what you don’t need to be buying as well.

The Environmental Working Group’s Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides identifies fruits and vegetables that have the lowest and highest pesticide residues. Here is the “dirty” list

Need To Buy Organic AKA “The Dirty List”  :

  2. Berries ( Strawberries, Blueberries etc)
  3. Grapes
  4. Peaches
  5. Spinach
  6. Sweet Bell Peppers
  7. Cucumbers
  8. Tomatoes
  9. Potato
  10. Leafy Greens (Kale, Collards etc )

These 10 fruits and vegetables, which make up their “Clean” list, are least likely to be contaminated. Essentially it is the fruits and vegetables with hard skin that is likely to protect them from contamination

Don’t need to buy organic Aka “The Clean List”   :

  1. Corn
  2. Onions
  3. Pineapples

  5. Avocado
  6. Sweet Potato
  7. Papaya
  8. Mangoes
  9. Eggplant
  10. Kiwi
